Can I provide my own iPads for the Square stands?
Yes, you can use your own iPads, as long as they are a 10.2” or 10.5” model listed below. Other sizes will not fit correctly and may damage the stand.

What accessories can be used with Square Stands?

Can a bluetooth NFC / Chip reader or terminal be used?
Yes. The card reader is already built into the Square stand itself. However, if the stand is placed in a spot where the customer can’t be close enough to insert their card (behind a sneeze guard or deep counter, for example), a Bluetooth version of the NFC and chip reader can be added and used instead.
How long is the Square stand power cable?
The full length of cabling between the Square stand and the wall outlet is 14 feet. However, this length includes the USB Hub and Power adapter block. The length between the power block and the wall is 4 feet. If cabling will be in an area of foot traffic, extension cords are suggested to prevent tripping and damage to the USB Hub and power adapter block.
What happens if the stand loses internet connection?
In the case of a temporary loss of internet, payments can still be processed using the Square card swiper attachment ONLY. They will be stored as offline payments and processed automatically once internet is restored (within 24 hours, with app open and logged in).
